Introduction
Welcome to 21st Century Teaching. This lesson is designed to introduce teachers to three technology tools that help us work "smarter and not harder." Assessments are an important part of teaching. I want my assessments to be helpful. You can complete the assessments in any form that helps organize this information for you.
Different teachers have different strengths. One person may be better at phonics, another at incorporating math manipulatives into lessons. Collaborating and sharing strengths can make planning and teaching easier.
Objective 1: The ability to explore specific technology tools for use in professional development and productivity.
I have created a smore.com flyer with all of the websites and resources for this class. Please keep this as a resource tool.
Assessment: Discussion Question: Name 3 tasks that you complete using technology. Has technology improved this task for you? Example-google maps versus using a city map. Example- Making travel arrangements vs calling airlines, hotels, etc. Example: search engine research vs library. Your answer can be in the form of a paragraph, outline or graphic organizer. Must include all portions of the question.
